Presentation and participation guidelines

Paper Presentations

  1. The detailed program is available on the Program Details.
  2. IFDIK 2023 is a hybrid conference where every session, including workshops, will be captured via Webex for online participation and through onsite video cameras. These recordings are intended solely for internal purposes, such as record-keeping, and will not be accessible to the public.
  3. We will take photographs of every session, including opening and closing ceremonies, workshops, banquet, and breaks. Those photographs will be uploaded to the Album page of the Conference WebSite.
  4. Presentation time for ICADL 2023:
    • Full: 15 minutes oral presentation + 5 minutes Q&A.
    • Short/Practice: 10 minutes oral presentation + 5 minutes Q&A.
  5. Presentation time for A-LIEP 2023: 15 minutes oral presentation + 5 minutes Q&A.
  6. To ensure the smooth progression of the paper presentation sessions, each session will commence with presentations by onsite presenters, followed by presentations from online presenters.
  7. For onsite presenters:
    • If presenting onsite, please deliver your presentation in person.
    • Please arrive at the session venue 15 minutes before the session begins and inform the session chair and assistants of your arrival.
    • You can upload your presentation file before the session begins or send your presentation file via email to ifdik2023@gmail.com by the end of November. Use the Email subject format like "ICADL4-3 Presentation file," where "ICADL 4-3" represents your presentation ID as indicated in the Program.
  8. For online presenters:
    • Please conduct your presentation in real-time and be available for Q&A afterward. Access the WebEX URL for your session at least 15 minutes before it begins, using the same name as your paper and login to Webex using the Email you register for IFDIK 2023. Our technical support teams will identify presenters based on your name.
    • To avoid potential network interruptions or lags during live sessions, we recommend that online presenters pre-record their presentation videos. Please send the video files or links via email to ifdik2023@gmail.com by the end of November. Use the Email subject format like "ICADL4-3 Video file," where "ICADL 4-3" represents your presentation ID as indicated in the Program.
    • In case of disruptions during your live presentation, please contact our technical team members through the WebEX chat box. We will use the submitted video link if there are network issues. For example, if an issue occurs 3 minutes and 15 seconds into your presentation, technical team members will play your pre-recorded video, starting from 3 minutes and 15 seconds, instead of a live presentation.
  9. For online participants:

 

Poster Exhibition and Networking Session

  1. The Poster Exhibition and Networking Session is scheduled from 16:00 to 17:30 on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023.
  2. Presenters of a poster are expected to be present during the Poster Exhibition and Networking Session to explain their poster and distribute any leaflets or additional information materials to viewers. Each presenter is allowed to present only one poster. There will be no online presentation for online poster authors, and online poster authors can pre-record a video accoring to Point 7 below.
  3. The poster numbers, corresponding to the numbered boards at the venue, are allocated and published on the Program Details
  4. The available poster boards are 950mm wide and 2385mm high in portrait style. For printed posters, the recommended size is the standard poster size of DIN A0 (841mm wide x 1189mm high). Posters must be affixed to the boards using double-faced adhesive tape, which will be provided on-site.
  5. Posters and relevant materials should be posted on the boards between 09:30 and 16:00 on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023, before the Poster Exhibition and Networking Session.
  6. Posters should remain on display until Thursday, December 7th, 2023, and ideally should be removed between 11:00 and 14:00 on that day, at the latest.
  7. Poster presenters are encouraged to pre-record a 5-10 minute video introducing their posters. If a presenter is willing to create such a video, please email the video file and/or link to ifdik2023@gmail.com (with Email subject like P-7 Video file, where P-7 is your poster ID marked in the Program) by the end of November. The video will be featured on the IFDIK 2023 website.
  8. We encourage poster presenters and IFDIK 2023 participants to engage in lively conversations, and the Organizing Committee will provide snacks and drinks on-site.

 

Webex instructions for online participants

General:
  • To ensure the security of conference sessions, presenters' passwords (panelist passwords) for Webex meetings will be sent to presenters ONE DAY before the conference.
  • You can access all conference sessions through the links posted on the conference program section at IFDIK 2023 page: https://ifdik2023.conf.tw/site/page.aspx?pid=287&sid=1521&lang=en.
